Ascendo Resources is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Insurance Risk Manager in the Bergen County area, to lead and manage the company’s insurance programs, risk mitigation strategies, bonding, and letters of credit. This role partners cross-functionally to ensure appropriate protection and compliance for corporate operations and projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and manage risk exposures across the organization.

  • Oversee and coordinate the annual insurance renewal process, including preparation and submission of applications and supporting documentation.

  • Review contracts to ensure proper insurance coverage requirements are met.

  • Manage and respond to requests for Certificates of Insurance (COIs).

  • Oversee the annual insurance audits and ensure timely submission of required information.

  • Maintain compliance with Workers’ Compensation (WC) reporting requirements, including for monopolistic states.

  • Monitor and review reserves for WC and automotive claims; oversee the reporting and tracking of insurance claims.

  • Evaluate and administer the company’s bonding requirements and letters of credit for both internal and external projects.

  • Lead or contribute to special projects and assist with general insurance and risk-related filings as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Experience: 5–10 years of professional experience in insurance, risk management, or a related field preferred.

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable conclusions.

    • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and global teams.

    • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects independently in a fast-paced environment.

    • Familiarity with insurance audit procedures, COI administration, and claims management is highly desirable.
