Position Summary:

The Order Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing customer orders into our ERP system. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and a customer-focused mindset. The ideal candidate will ensure that all orders are entered promptly, meet compliance standards, and support a smooth order-to-delivery workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter customer purchase orders into the company’s ERP system

• Verify order details for pricing, product codes, quantities, and delivery schedules

• Communicate with customers to resolve discrepancies or incomplete order information

• Coordinate with internal departments (sales, logistics, finance, etc.) to ensure order fulfillment

• Track and monitor order status; provide updates to customers as needed

• Maintain and update customer records and order history

• Process order changes, cancellations, and returns according to policy

• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and quality standards

• Identify and escalate order issues or delays in a timely manner

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred

• 1–3 years of experience in order entry, sales support, or customer service

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)

• Experience with ERP/order management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Team player with a strong work ethic and problem-solving attitude
