About the Role

The Business Development Associate plays a key role in expanding company revenue, building strong client relationships, and supporting the sales pipeline. This individual will identify new business opportunities, generate qualified leads, and collaborate closely with internal teams to help close deals. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, persuasive communicators with strong research, networking, and customer-engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, identify, and qualify new business opportunities within target markets.
  • Conduct outreach through cold calls, emails, social media, and networking channels.
  • Schedule and coordinate introductory meetings, presentations, and product demos.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date pipeline activity within CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Collaborate with sales leaders to develop messaging, proposals, and follow-up plans.
  • Track and analyze prospect engagement metrics to optimize outreach strategies.
  • Support market research, competitor analysis, and development of go-to-market initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with prospects by understanding their needs and communicating value.
  • Assist with preparing reports, dashboards, and weekly business development updates.
  • Represent the company professionally at events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (preferred but not always required).
  • 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales, or lead generation.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of professionalism and ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, etc.).
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple leads simultaneously.
  • Self-starter mindset with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
