Quality Production Specialist
Location: Enfield, CT
Work Schedule: 8 AM – 4:30 PM | 100% Onsite


About the Role:

We are seeking a Quality Production Specialist to support inspection activities, validate product non-conformances, participate in root-cause investigations, and ensure compliance with engineering, customer, and aerospace quality requirements. This role involves working hands-on with inspection tools, reviewing technical documentation, and learning company and industry quality systems, including AS9100 and customer-specific requirements.

You will collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure products meet standards and corrective actions are properly implemented.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Observe and validate product non-conformances, dispositions, and quality procedures.

  • Assist in gathering data and participating in investigations to determine root cause of nonconforming products, plans, or processes.

  • Learn and follow Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, company procedures, contractual requirements, and government regulations.

  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) for customer submission.

  • Support failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.

  • Assist in developing and documenting corrective and preventive actions.

  • Manage and navigate customer portals to support quality processes.


Qualifications:

Required (Basic):

  • 2+ years of related work experience in quality, inspection, or aerospace manufacturing.

  • Experience working with customer quality systems and managing customer requirements.

  • Ability to maneuver and utilize customer portals.

  • Previous aerospace inspection experience.

  • Knowledge of QA inspection methods and procedures, including First Article Inspection.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.

  • Knowledge of AS9100 requirements.

  • Proficiency with inspection tools (calipers, ring/pin gages, comparator).

  • Blueprint reading skills.

  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, verbal communication).

  • Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

  • Equivalent combination of education, on-the-job training, and experience accepted.


Preferred:

  • High school diploma.

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience.

  • Proficiency with Net-Inspect.

  • Understanding of Lean/Six Sigma principles.
