Product Acceptance Specialist
Location: Enfield, CT 
Work Schedule: 8 AM – 4:30 PM | 100% Onsite

About the Role:

We are seeking a Product Acceptance Specialist to verify product conformance, perform inspections, and ensure adherence to design, certification, and quality standards. This role is hands-on, responsible for inspecting incoming and outgoing materials, documenting discrepancies, and supporting non-conformance processes.

You will also conduct dimensional and visual inspections, manage certification documentation, and work closely with vendors and internal teams to maintain full traceability per AS9100 and company quality procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify product conformance to design and quality requirements.

• Provide objective evidence of inspection results.

• Perform audits, surveillance, and ongoing monitoring of processes and product quality.

• Identify, document, segregate, and control non-conforming items.

• Conduct preliminary review and disposition of non-conformances.

• Inspect incoming parts/materials and outgoing orders; confirm certifications and processing compliance.

• Perform daily inspections using micrometers, calipers, gages, indicators, Smart Scope, and similar tools.

• Conduct dimensional inspections per design records and AQL standards.

• Conduct visual inspections for defects or inconsistencies.

• Review and disposition certification documentation to ensure proper traceability.

• Communicate with vendors regarding certification or quality issues.

• Obtain and maintain Customer Designated Supplier Quality Representative (DSQR) stamps for at least three customers (as applicable).

• Provide mentorship/support within the Inspection team.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic):

• 2+ years of experience using calipers, ring/pin gages, comparator, Smart Scope, and other inspection tools.

• Experience in QA inspection methods and procedures.

• Strong PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

• Ability to pass documented color and near-vision exams.

Preferred:

• Previous aerospace inspection experience.

• Knowledge of AS9100 requirements.

• Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.

Additional Information:

• Shift: 1st shift, Monday–Friday (8 AM – 4:30 PM)

• Overtime: Possible based on business needs (voluntary)

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Vision testing required

• Safety shoes required

• Education: High school diploma

• Interview Process: Single 30-minute phone interview
