Ascendo Resources is currently seeking a Property Accountant for a full-time, on-site role located in midtown NYC.

Our client is an established property management company with over 25 years of experience. 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Property Accountant to take ownership of full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of primarily condo and co-op properties. This role offers a contract-to-hire path with competitive hourly pay and a clear target salary upon conversion.

What You’ll Do

• Run full-cycle accounting for condo/co-op properties
• Lead month-end close: journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, financials
• Manage bank reconciliations, AP/AR, and cash flow
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Support board reporting and year-end audits
• Ensure GAAP compliance and strong documentation

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
• 5+ years of NYC condo/co-op accounting experience (required)
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups)
• Property/accounting systems proficiency
• Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and collaborative
