Construction subcontracting company specializing in electrical, mechanical, and HVAC work for large infrastructure and commercial projects is seeking a Project Accountant to work closely with the VP of Finance. This is an on-site role with competitive back and great union benefits.

The ideal Project Accountant holds the following:

• 3+ years of accounting experience within the construction industry
• Technically savvy
• Holds a bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business, or similar

The day to day responsibilities are as followed but not limited to :

• Reviewing and processing subcontractor invoices
• Tracking subcontract costs vs. budget
• Managing payments to subcontractors
• Handling contracts, change orders, and compliance
• Coordinating with project managers and subcontractors on billing issues
• Support project managers with cost, reporting, forecasting
• Assist with the month-end close, compliance, and audit support
