Immediate need for a Cash Application Specialist. Candidate is responsible for accurately applying customer payments to accounts, resolving discrepancies, and supporting the Accounts Receivable function. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records, improving cash flow, and supporting month-end close activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply daily customer payments (ACH, wire, checks, lockbox) to customer accounts with accuracy and timeliness

• Research and resolve unapplied cash, short pays, overpayments, and payment discrepancies

• Work closely with Accounts Receivable, Collections, and Customer Service teams to resolve account issues

• Reconcile cash receipts to bank statements and assist with daily cash reporting

• Maintain detailed documentation and audit trails for all cash application activity

• Assist with month-end close, including reconciliations and reporting

• Support internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

• Respond to internal and external inquiries related to payment posting and account balances

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Cash Application, Accounts Receivable, or similar accounting role

• Experience working with high-volume transactions preferred

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to research discrepancies and problem-solve independently

• Comfortable working with deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Technical Skills

• ERP experience required (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar preferred)

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables a plus)

• Experience with lockbox processing and bank portals preferred
