We are seeking a detail-driven and collaborative Cash Applications & Collections Specialist to support accurate and timely application of customer payments within a high-volume accounts receivable environment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting internal teams, and ensuring strong customer account management.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working cross-functionally with Collections, Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


🔎 Key Responsibilities

        • Apply customer payments accurately and efficiently based on contracts and remittance information

        • Maintain and update files related to missing remittances and payment discrepancies

        • Collaborate with internal teams and IC partners to identify and clear intercompany payments

        • Process monthly netting cash applications

        • Navigate customer portals to obtain required payment and remittance details

        • Communicate proactively with Collections, Sales, and Customer Service teams regarding account issues

        • Flag potential problem accounts including short payments, deductions, and missing information

        • Perform daily bank reconciliations to maintain AR accuracy and integrity

        • Analyze and process offsets, write-offs, and payment adjustments

        • Retrieve and review check copies to confirm correct payment application

        • Provide weekly and monthly reporting updates to leadership

        • Escalate account concerns to management with clear documentation and follow-up


✅ Qualifications

        • High school diploma or equivalent required

        • Minimum 2+ years of cash application or accounts receivable experience, preferably in a high-volume environment

        • Experience managing large or high-profile customer accounts preferred

        • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across departments and with customers

        • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

        • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
