Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Pedricktown, NJ (Onsite)

Compensation: $30-$34/hour

Schedule: Full-time | Overtime as needed

A rapidly growing, privately held company in the natural & organic food manufacturing space is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support its production and facilities operations. The organization partners closely with family farms, emphasizes sustainability and food safety, and offers long-term stability within a high-growth environment.

The Role

This position supports daily maintenance operations to ensure all facility systems, production equipment, and safety infrastructure are operating at peak performance. The role is hands-on and ideal for a mechanically inclined professional who enjoys troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and working in a fast-paced production setting.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance on facility and production equipment

Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical issues

Complete work orders efficiently while maintaining high quality and safety standards

Support installation, relocation, and setup of equipment, furniture, and workstations

Conduct facility inspections and identify operational or safety issues

Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with SOPs and GMP standards

Assist with parts and supplies inventory tracking

Follow all food safety, PPE, lockout/tagout, and workplace safety procedures

Work comfortably in cold environments (27°F-45°F)

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required (technical training a plus)

2+ years of facilities or industrial maintenance experience

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Experience with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems

Comfortable using hand and power tools, meters, and material handling equipment

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Experience in food manufacturing or processing equipment is a plus

Bilingual Spanish a plus (not required)

Willingness to work overtime as needed

Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
