Senior Accountant (AcMiam)

We are partnering with a well-established and growing organization in Miami seeking a high-caliber Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This role offers excellent visibility to leadership, strong career growth, and the opportunity to play a key role in financial operations, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations

  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and management reports

  • Perform balance sheet and P&L analysis, identifying trends and variances

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies

  • Assist with external audits, tax filings, and internal reporting requirements

  • Mentor junior accounting staff and support team development

  • Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements

  • Partner cross-functionally with finance, operations, and leadership teams


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA-track preferred)

  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting + industry strongly preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Great Plains, QuickBooks, etc.)

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment
