Job Summary

The Trailer Utilization & Phone Support Coordinator is responsible for managing trailer inventory and maximizing equipment utilization while serving as the primary point of contact for inbound phone inquiries. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with drivers, dispatch, maintenance, and customers.


Key Responsibilities

Trailer Utilization

  • Monitor and track trailer inventory and availability.

  • Assign trailers to loads based on operational needs and efficiency.

  • Coordinate trailer movement between yards, customers, and terminals.

  • Ensure accurate documentation of trailer locations and status.

  • Communicate with dispatch, drivers, and yard personnel regarding trailer needs.

  • Identify opportunities to improve trailer utilization and reduce idle equipment.

  • Report maintenance issues and coordinate repairs as needed.

Phone Support & Customer Service

  • Answer and manage incoming calls in a professional and timely manner.

  • Provide information regarding trailer availability, delivery/pickup status, and scheduling.

  • Route calls to appropriate departments when necessary.

  • Resolve customer concerns or escalate issues appropriately.

  • Maintain accurate call logs and update internal systems with relevant information.
