Job Summary

The Personal Banker is responsible for delivering client-focused banking services, opening and servicing accounts, identifying client needs, and recommending appropriate financial products in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements. This position supports branch sales, service, and operational objectives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, delivering professional and accurate service
  • Open, maintain, and service consumer and business deposit accounts (e.g., checking, savings, certificates of deposit)
  • Identify client financial needs and recommend appropriate products and services
  • Generate referrals to internal partners (mortgage, consumer lending, commercial banking)
  • Meet established individual performance goals, including sales and service metrics
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state banking regulations, including but not limited to BSA/AML, CIP, and OFAC requirements
  • Adhere to internal policies, procedures, and risk management protocols
  • Resolve client inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Support branch operations, including transactional and cash handling activities as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail banking, financial services, or a sales-oriented environment
  • Working knowledge of banking products, services, and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to meet performance or sales goals
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and professionalism

Compensation

  • Base salary range: $50,000 – $55,000 annually
  • This position may be eligible for discretionary incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance, in accordance with applicable plans and policies

Work Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • Monday through Friday, with hours aligned to branch operations
