Ascendo Resources is partnering with a long-standing, reputable law firm client in Atlanta, GA. Our client is seeking to hire a motivated and skilled Litigation Associate with at least two years of experience to their expanding team.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, research, and writing abilities, demonstrate self-motivation, and excel in a collaborative, team-driven environment.

This particular opening will support the firms Insurance Defense Litigation practice group. This role offers the chance to handle a diverse range of cases, work closely with senior attorneys, and gain hands-on experience across all phases of litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and memoranda.
  • Manage all aspects of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
  • Take and defend depositions of witnesses, parties, and experts.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and development.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic performance.
  • Active member in good standing with the Georgia Bar.
  • At least 2 years of litigation experience, including taking and defending depositions.
  • Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
