Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze customer or sales representative specifications, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.

  • Determine the most efficient mix of equipment for each estimated job and establish appropriate pricing based on the job requirements.

  • Ensure that all estimates align with customer expectations, advise on any necessary deviations, and recommend alternatives to improve efficiency.

  • Maintain accurate digital records of all estimates, ensuring both the company and customers are protected in the event of future inquiries.

  • Collaborate with external vendors to outsource work, and negotiate pricing for services rendered.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Maintain a professional, respectful, and positive attitude in all interactions.

  • Follow direction and execute assignments with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Possess intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Experience with ERP systems (Print Stream experience preferred).

  • Ability to calculate various figures such as discounts, commissions, percentages, area, and volume, and apply basic algebraic and geometric concepts.

  • Capable of solving practical problems and adapting to situations with limited standardization.

  • Ability to interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, or spreadsheet form, and develop pricing plans accordingly.

  • Willingness and availability to work overtime as needed.

Education & Experience:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 3-5 years of estimating experience in sheetfed and web/web in-line printing, print/bindery, and letter shop/direct mail, ideally in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
