Position Overview: This position requires L2/L3 expertise in network design and architecture, covering data, voice, and storage to align with the business strategy and meet connectivity, capacity, security, resilience, recovery, and access requirements. The role will encompass all aspects of the communications infrastructure, both internal and external, including mobile, public, private, cloud environments, Intranet, and data centers.

Cisco ASA (for NAC-enabled remote-access VPN), ISE, and AnyConnect VPN

Responsibilities:

Own the L2/L3 responsibilities for network strategy, architecture, implementation, and ongoing support.

Develop and implement network design policies that address connectivity, capacity, interfacing, security, resilience, recovery, access, and remote access.

Produce and maintain network specifications, topologies, configuration, and design documentation.

Specify user/system interfaces, including validation and error correction procedures, processing rules, access protocols, security, and audit controls.

Assess associated risks and define recovery routines and contingency procedures.

Serve as the subject matter expert in at least one area of data and voice infrastructure.
Position Requirements: Formal Education & Certification
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, with 5 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must hold current certifications in networking.

Preferred certifications include Palo Alto, FortiGate, Citrix NetScaler, and related security technologies.
L2/L3 Knowledge and Experience
-
Expertise in traffic engineering with BGP.

Experience with AWS and Azure cloud services.

Knowledge of Cisco Multi-Site ACI.
-
Proficient in Palo Alto Firewalls & Panorama or FortiNet FortiGate Firewalls & FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer.

Hands-on experience with enterprise wireless technology.

In-depth understanding of network security elements, including IPSec VPN (S2S, RA, DMVPN & B2B), TCP/IP, firewalls, IPS/IDS, VoIP, load balancers, routers, and switches.

Familiarity with Cisco Unified Communications Manager and UCCX is a plus.
