Ascendo Resources is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our client’s office in Atlanta, GA.
This paralegal will support the firm’s busy insurance defense group.
This is a full-time, fully onsite role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys throughout the entire litigation process, from case inception to trial.
- Manage all phases of discovery, including preparing for depositions, responding to written discovery requests, and organizing expert discovery.
- Draft interrogatories, document requests, and non-party subpoenas.
- Analyze legal documents and prepare summaries for attorney review.
- Organize and maintain case files, both physical and electronic.
- Track important deadlines and manage case calendars.
- Accurately record and track billable hours on a daily basis.
- Provide general support to attorneys as needed.
- Assist with trial preparation, including creating trial notebooks, organizing exhibits, and preparing materials.
- Attend trials as necessary, providing on-site support and assisting attorneys in the courtroom.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal with a strong understanding of litigation processes in Insurance Defense.
- Bachelor’s degree and a Paralegal Studies certificate preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a litigation environment.
- Trial experience, including exhibit preparation and witness coordination.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with Clio or similar legal software.
