The Accounts Payable Associate reports directly to the Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller. This position is responsible for a variety of accounts payable functions including, but not limited to, maintaining accurate accounts payable records by receiving, processing, verifying, vouchering and reconciling invoices. Coordinate and assist with the month end closing process, including timely and accurate preparation of journal entries. Primary Responsibilities: Scan, review and record invoices in JD Edwards, ensuring invoices are approved, accurate and recorded in the correct accounting period. Voucher and process payments for overhead payables Process the weekly check runs, including both ACH payments and manual checks Assist with voids and check re-issues Research and assist with inquiries and solve invoice and payment discrepancies Check requests General Ledger Posting to include journal entry reclasses Reconciliations Meet scheduled monthly deadlines Assist with other projects as assigned by management Position Qualifications: Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve discrepancies Strong organizational, planning and prioritizing skills Detail oriented with the ability to produce accurate work and handle multiple projects Effective communication and interpersonal skills Customer service mentality with a willingness to serve Experience with JD Edwards, Google Suite, or Salesforce is a plus but not required Microsoft Excel experience Knowledge of Concur Expense Accounting Software, is a plus but not required Ideal to have knowledge of job cost accounting but not required Minimum Requirements: 1-3 years of accounting experience and/or overhead payable processing in a fast-paced accounts payable environment High School Diploma Ascendo is a certified minority owned staffing firm, and we welcome and celebrate diversity.
