Pay Rate: $22/hour

 

Job Summary:

A leading international minerals manufacturer/distributor is seeking a Temp Accounts Payable / Accountant to support its accounting team during a busy transition period. This is a contract role with potential for extension or conversion, ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a willingness to learn in a collaborative environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check Runs: Manage bi-weekly check runs (15–25 checks per run, overseeing up to 87 total bi-weekly).
  • Vendor Payments: Process 100–125 vendor payments bi-weekly via checks, ACH, and wire transfers; manage 60–80 credit card/ACH transactions bi-weekly.
  • ERP Usage: Enter and manage data in Sage 100.
  • Invoice Processing: Review and process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Vendor Maintenance: Keep vendor files up-to-date and accurate.
  • Reconciliations: Reconcile vendor statements and accounts payable monthly.
  • Expense Reports: Assist in the processing of employee expense reports.
  • Reporting: Use Excel for basic reporting and data compilation.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with the finance team and assist with audits, budgets, and ad hoc tasks.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous AP experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office required.
  • Experience with Sage 100 or other ERP systems a plus.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.
