Job Title: Medicare Billing and Reimbursement Specialist

Pay Rate: $19.90/hour

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medicare Billing and Reimbursement Specialist to join our remote team. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely submission of Medicare claims, resolving denials, and ensuring compliance with Medicare billing guidelines. The ideal candidate thrives in a remote work environment, is highly organized, and has strong knowledge of the Medicare reimbursement process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and submit Medicare claims in a timely manner

• Monitor and follow up on claim rejections, denials, and underpayments

• Resolve discrepancies by working directly with Medicare and internal teams

• Submit appeals and documentation as needed for denied claims

• Stay current on Medicare billing requirements, codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS), and policy updates

• Assist in reconciling payments and preparing monthly reports

• Ensure patient and billing records are compliant and audit-ready

• Respond to internal and external billing inquiries promptly and professionally

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred)

• Minimum 1 year of Medicare billing and claims experience

• Knowledge of Medicare billing procedures, regulations, and codes

• Experience with EMR and billing software (e.g., Epic, Kareo, or similar)

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
