Amazing Opportunity for a Loan Processor

Ascendo is excited to present this amazing hybrid opportunity in the banking/finance industry, located in the Miami area. We are searching for a detail-oriented and proactive Loan Processor to join an organization that is on an upward trajectory. This role manages the loan application lifecycle from review through 'clear to close' status. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of recent mortgage processing or banking experience with full knowledge and understanding of bank policies.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the ordering of essential reports for loan package processing, such as appraisals and final inspections.
  • Ensure all necessary loan disclosures pertinent to the request are prepared and distributed.
  • Diligently review all residential loan application packages for accuracy and completeness.
  • Proactively obtain and clear all outstanding conditions required for loan underwriting and ultimate approval.
  • Conduct compliance searches to screen for adverse media or derogatory information related to the client or their company.
  • Provide consistent updates to the lending team throughout the entire loan processing cycle.
  • Manage the preparation of necessary documentation for adverse actions, such as denials or counter-offers, when required.
  • Handle general departmental tasks like filing, copying, and scanning of documents.

 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of current experience in mortgage processing or the banking sector.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Can communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English.
  • Proficiency in utilizing various computer software or specific banking applications.
  • Must be a self-starter who consistently displays original thinking, creativity, and a proactive approach to improving work processes.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality and security of both the firm's and the customers' sensitive information.
