Ascendo Resources is partnering with a growing wholesale distribution company located in Midtown, New York.

We are seeking to hire an experienced Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations. While the business is newly launched in its current form, the ownership team brings over 15 years of industry experience and maintains strong, long-standing partnerships across the U.S. This role has been created due to continued growth and increasing transaction volume.

This is a hands-on, full-charge bookkeeping position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys being embedded with the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for a wholesale distribution business generating approximately $20M–$40M in annual revenue
• Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and reconciliations
• Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate general ledger entries
• Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 10 employees using ADP
• Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
• Maintain organized financial records and support month-end close activities
• Partner closely with ownership and external accounting/tax professionals as needed
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across all financial data

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience using QuickBooks
• Full-charge bookkeeping experience supporting businesses in the $20M–$40M revenue range
• Strong working knowledge of AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger accounting
• Experience processing payroll using ADP
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a growing business
• Comfortable working 100% on-site in Midtown Manhattan

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in wholesale distribution or a similar product-based environment

Compensation & Benefits

• $80,000 – $90,000 base salary
