Job Description
The Benefits Analyst is responsible for administering, analyzing, and supporting employee benefit programs to ensure compliance, cost-effectiveness, and a positive employee experience. This role partners closely with HR, payroll, finance, and external vendors to manage benefits operations, analyze trends, and recommend program improvements.
Key Responsibilities

Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and wellness plans.

Serve as a subject matter expert for employee benefits, responding to inquiries and resolving enrollment or coverage issues.

Analyze benefits data, utilization trends, and costs to support budgeting and renewal strategies.

Coordinate annual open enrollment, including system configuration, employee communications, and vendor collaboration.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and related laws).

Partner with payroll to ensure accurate deductions, contributions, and benefit-related reporting.

Manage vendor relationships, including carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators.

Support benefits audits, reconciliations, and reporting requirements.

Assist with development and maintenance of benefits policies, procedures, and employee-facing materials.

Identify opportunities to enhance benefits offerings, employee engagement, and cost controls.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred.

2+ years of experience in benefits administration or benefits analysis.

Strong knowledge of employee benefits plans and applicable employment laws.

Experience with HRIS and benefits administration systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, UKG, Paycom, or similar).

Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.

Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.
