Job Title: Senior Accounts Payable Lead (Temporary)

Location: Jacksonville, FL
Duration: Temporary assignment (2–3 months)
Pay Rate: Approximately $30/hour

Position Summary

We are a financial services company seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Lead to support our Accounts Payable function during a transitional period. This temporary role will oversee day-to-day AP operations, ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, and provide leadership and guidance to the AP team. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, hands-on leadership, and proven Concur experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily Accounts Payable operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies

  • Process high-volume invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments in a timely manner

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Concur, including expense report review, troubleshooting, and user support

  • Review and approve invoices, expense reports, and payment runs

  • Resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies professionally and promptly

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards, and financial regulations

  • Assist with month-end close activities related to Accounts Payable

  • Provide guidance, training, and support to AP staff as needed

  • Identify process improvements and support smooth knowledge transfer for the incoming full-time hire

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience, including a lead or senior-level role

  • Required: Hands-on experience with Concur

  • Experience in a financial services or similar regulated environment preferred

  • Strong understanding of AP processes, internal controls, and compliance requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
