Job Title: HVAC Service Manager

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Manager to oversee daily service operations and lead a high-performing team of residential and commercial technicians. This position plays a key role in driving operational efficiency, ensuring strong financial results, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Working alongside Dispatch and Warehouse leadership, the Service Manager will focus on technician performance, service quality, and department profitability—rather than hands-on scheduling or inventory control. This role reports to senior leadership and is ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring teams while holding them accountable to clear performance standards.


Primary Responsibilities

Leadership & Workforce Development

  • Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of HVAC technicians

  • Establish productivity and service expectations and ensure they are consistently met

  • Provide ongoing coaching through ride-alongs and performance feedback

  • Support hiring and training of new technicians

  • Promote a work environment focused on safety, professionalism, and teamwork

Operational & Financial Management

  • Oversee service department performance including revenue, margins, and efficiency

  • Analyze KPIs and implement process improvements

  • Work with leadership on forecasting and departmental planning

  • Balance profitability with high standards of workmanship

Customer Experience & Service Excellence

  • Review service results and customer satisfaction metrics

  • Address complex service issues and escalations

  • Maintain quality control standards across all service calls

  • Build strong relationships with long-standing and commercial clients

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Dispatch to improve route planning and response times

  • Partner with Warehouse leadership to support parts flow and job readiness

  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational policies


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of HVAC industry experience

  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or lead technician role

  • Solid understanding of residential and commercial HVAC systems

  • Experience managing performance metrics and service department budgets

  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

  • EPA certification preferred

  • Valid driver’s license required
