Senior Tax Manager (Privately Held Businesses)

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage a portfolio of partnership and flow-through clients, including tax planning, consulting, and compliance engagements.
  • Provide comprehensive tax advice and guidance to clients on a variety of tax matters, including structuring transactions, maximizing deductions, and optimizing tax strategies.
  • Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to resolve complex tax issues and proactively identify potential tax planning opportunities.
  • Review and supervise the preparation of tax returns, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely filing.
  • Assist in managing client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and maintaining regular communication to understand their needs and provide proactive tax planning solutions.
  • Stay updated on the latest tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and identify potential implications for clients.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff, providing guidance, training, and feedback to support their professional growth.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification is required.
  • 6+ years of experience in public accounting, with a strong focus on privately held businesses preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations related to partnerships, S corporations, and LLCs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and firm leadership.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in tax software and technology, including tax research tools and MS Office Suite.
