Our esteemed client in Morris County, NJ is looking for a dynamic Accounts Receivable Associate to join their team. The Accounts Receivable Associate will play a key role in the finance department by managing customer billing, processing transactions, and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding balances. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional looking to grow their accounting experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and timely collections

  • Generate and distribute client invoices in alignment with billing schedules and internal policies

  • Conduct follow-ups with clients via email and phone regarding outstanding payments

  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or customer account issues

  • Maintain accurate and organized records of receivable transactions and communications

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address client needs and support account resolution

  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes as needed

  • Prepare and deliver regular aging reports and AR performance metrics

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in accounts receivable, collections, or related finance role preferred

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., Acumatica) is a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

  • Problem-solving mindset and customer-focused approach
