Ascendo Resources is seeking a Senior Accountant for a full-time, hybrid role. Salary range is up to $95,000 a year.

 

Our client is a growing manufacturing company. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is looking to contribute to process improvements, financial reporting accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration.

The Senior Accountant will support daily operations, month-end close, inventory valuation, revenue recognition, and audit preparation. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and with leadership.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily accounting activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Assist with month-end close, accruals, and financial statement preparation
  • Analyze inventory including excess & obsolete reserves, BOM accuracy, and overhead costing
  • Ensure GAAP compliance and support ASC 606 revenue recognition
  • Support S&OP development and ongoing improvements
  • Assist in cash flow forecasting and intercompany reconciliations
  • Collaborate with external auditors and prepare audit schedules
  • Propose and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Use ERP software (Epicor preferred) and advanced Excel to support reporting and data analysis

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4–7 years of experience in general accounting and financial reporting
  • CPA or public accounting background preferred
  • Strong proficiency with ERP systems (Epicor highly preferred)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and discretion
