Job Title: Litigation Attorney - Property & Casualty

Location: North Carolina (Remote/Hybrid options available)

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Litigation Attorney licensed to practice law in North Carolina with 3+ years of experience in property and casualty litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plaintiff homeowner cases against insurance companies and/or plaintiff personal injury cases. This role requires a proactive legal professional who is comfortable managing cases from inception through resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in property and casualty litigation, including homeowner insurance disputes and personal injury claims.
  • Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
  • Attend and lead settlement conferences and mediations.
  • Appear in court for hearings, motions, and trials as needed.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and other legal documents.
  • Evaluate case value and negotiate settlements.
  • Maintain client communication and manage expectations throughout the litigation process.

Qualifications:

  • Active license to practice law in North Carolina.
  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience in property and casualty cases.
  • Proven track record in plaintiff-side litigation, especially against insurance companies.
  • Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.

Compensation:

  • Competitive base salary based on experience, starts at 100K base.
  • Monthly performance bonuses based on settlement amounts.
  • Benefits package available.
