A busy personal injury law firm is looking for a Personal Injury Case Opener to take charge of the intake process and ensure every new case is set up accurately from day one. This position is ideal for someone with strong data entry skills, legal intake experience, and the ability to handle sensitive information with care and efficiency.
What You’ll Do:

Handle incoming personal injury intakes from calls, emails, and referrals

Gather and verify essential case information — including incident details, insurance coverage, and medical provider info

Collect and upload required documents (retainers, authorizations, IDs, insurance cards)

Set up new cases in the case management system with accurate party info, tags, deadlines, and coverage details

Perform preliminary insurance verification (liability, UM/UIM, MedPay)

Request key documents such as police reports and EMS summaries

Communicate with clients to confirm information and explain next steps

Assign files to the correct team based on workflows and service levels

Monitor intake accuracy and flag issues to improve processes
What You Bring:

1+ years of experience in personal injury legal intake or case opening
-
Fluent in English and Spanish — written and verbal (required)

Strong attention to detail with fast and accurate data entry skills

Familiarity with personal injury terminology, insurance policies, and medical documentation

Great communication skills with empathy and professionalism

Ability to manage a high volume of intakes while staying organized and on deadline

Experience with legal software like Filevine, SmartAdvocate, Litify, or similar (preferred)

Knowledge of Florida PI procedures is a plus
