Credit Specialist

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Credit Specialist  for a temporary role within our team. The coordinator will handle critical administrative tasks associated with casino credit issuance, documentation, and guest communications. This position is pivotal in maintaining smooth credit operations and ensuring compliance with established policies during the transition period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, document, and monitor the issuance of casino credit for guests.
  • Investigate, research, and resolve returned checks, wire transfers, and credit card disputes.
  • Process and document guest requests for win/loss statements and taxable forms.
  • Submit guest credit information to key agencies, including National Cred-A-Check and Central Credit Casino Agency.
  • Communicate with banks, casino guests, and internal management to address inquiries and ensure clarity.
  • Generate and track computer-based reports, including graphs and summaries.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure data accuracy while meeting tight deadlines.

Department Scope:
The department processes over 2,000 credit applications annually, with a total transaction value exceeding $28 million.

Qualifications:
Education:

  • High School Diploma required.

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of professional experience in administrative roles, including banking, bookkeeping, or a related field.
  • Experience in credit or loan processing within financial institutions preferred.
  • Casino industry experience is a plus.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, at a basic to intermediate level.
  • Ability to learn new systems and adapt quickly.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) to liaise with external agencies, guests, and internal teams.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is highly preferred.
  • Capable of working independently and recommending solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and handle confidential information responsibly.
