Business Development Manager – Design & Interiors | On-Site (Jacksonville, FL)

Compensation: Base salary $65,000–$75,000 (commensurate with experience) + uncapped commission (average OTE $120,000+)
Work Arrangement: On-site, Monday–Friday

About the Role:

The Business Development Manager will serve as a strategic connector between design professionals, construction firms, and clients seeking high-performance workspace solutions. This individual will lead new logo acquisition, develop partnerships within the design and construction ecosystem, and represent the company at industry events to elevate brand visibility and drive sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage new business opportunities with architects, designers, and general contractors.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of high-value projects through proactive outreach.
  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to expand market influence.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor in the design development and construction process.
  • Partner with internal teams to deliver integrated, client-focused workplace solutions.
  • Present and communicate value-added services to clients and industry partners.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build visibility.
  • Stay informed on emerging design and construction trends to provide strategic insights.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field, or a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven success in business development, architectural sales, or design-focused client acquisition.
  • Strong understanding of design development and construction processes.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for creative problem-solving.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn CRM and project management systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in office furniture, interior products, or architectural solutions sales.
  • Existing relationships within the architecture and design community.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed annual revenue targets.
