We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join our client's legal team at a law firm.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law, with specific experience in commercial transactions, and will be responsible for supporting attorneys in the management of real estate deals, contracts, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in drafting, reviewing, and preparing documents related to commercial real estate transactions, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, amendments, and closings.
  • Conduct legal research and due diligence for commercial real estate transactions, including reviewing title reports, surveys, zoning, and environmental issues.
  • Manage and organize transaction files, ensuring all documents are properly stored and accessible.
  • Coordinate and manage closing processes for commercial real estate deals, including preparing closing binders, obtaining signatures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, brokers, lenders, and other third parties involved in the transaction process.
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing title and escrow instructions, closing statements, and settlement agreements.
  • Prepare and file documents with local, state, and federal authorities (e.g., deeds, financing statements, and other required filings).
  • Track important deadlines and ensure timely completion of all deliverables and filings.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of real estate laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in commercial real estate law.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal software systems (e.g., document management systems).
  • Strong understanding of commercial real estate terminology, legal procedures, and transaction processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively with attorneys and clients.
  • Paralegal certification preferred, but not required (e.g., NALA or NFPA certification).
  • Must be able to work onsite in Boca Raton, FL.
