Staff Accountant 

Full time opportunity ( M-F) 

Location: Miami, FL 

Temp to Hire 

 

Ascendo Resources is searching for an Accountant to join the accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately preparing financial data across various properties, ensuring timely reporting, and supporting key accounting functions. 

 

  • Prepare Bank Reconciliation
  • Prepare and post Journal Entries
  • Analyze and Reconcile Various Accounts and Prepare Month-end workpapers
  • Review and process invoices
  • Follow-up on invoice approvals
  • Meet with Senior Accountant on a weekly basis for payment selection
  • Prepare Sales and Use Tax Return
  • Handle calls regarding Accounts Payable
  • Reconciling vendor statements
  • Post cash receipts
  • Reconcile Credit Card Transactions
  • Obtain and organize information for internal and external audits
  • Understand SOX guidelines to ensure accurate controls and segregation of duties are in place to meet compliance
  • Perform other work as required or assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent a plus
  • Experience with Accounting softwares 
  • Experience in the Construction industry
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Accounting
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Organizational, verbal and written communication skills a must.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
