Ascendo Resources is currently seeking a Real Estate Paralegal for a full-time role located in Miami Lakes, FL.
This position offers a salary up to $100,000 and is fully on-site.
What You Will be Doing:
- Prepare and review legal documents, correspondence and closing binders to assist with commercial real estate transactions, including leases, purchases, sales and financing.
- Coordinate title matters with title insurance companies and law firms on all stages pre-closing through post-closing.
- Coordinate and supervise due diligence for sales, acquisitions, and commercial loans.
- Assist with handling of commercial landlord-tenant issues.
- Assist with local governmental inquiries and lien searches.
- Form entities in connection with real estate acquisitions.
- Establish and organize files; monitor deadlines; input information into file database.
- Prepare summaries of key terms and critical dates for real property acquisitions.
- Assist attorneys in drafting leases, contracts, and correspondence.
- Coordinate discovery responses with outside counsel.
- Manage litigation calendar for mediations, discovery, and court hearings.
- Administer third party claims including initial review, internal communications, and coordination with insurers.
- Administer invoices for outside counsel fees and other litigation costs.
- Perform general clerical duties (photocopying, faxing, mailing, filing, etc.).
Who You Are:
- 2+ years’ experience in either law firm or in-house legal department as paralegal, preferably in commercial real estate, preferably in retail sector or with property management company.
- EXCEPTIONAL written and verbal communication skills, including grammar and spelling.
- Able to work under tight deadlines, handle multiple, detailed tasks simultaneously and prioritize appropriately.
- Must be able to work on-site 5 days a week.
