Ascendo Resources is currently seeking a Facilities Manager for a full-time role located in Brooklyn, New York.

Our client is a top leader in the entertainment industry, known across the country. This position is fully on-site, is approximately 9am to 5pm, and offers full benefits (health, dental, PTO, and 401k).

Who You Are:

• Facilities Manager with 3+ years of experience. Preferably in the Entertainment/Hospitality space and dealing with commercial or industrial properties
• Certified in the following: F-04 and F-07
• Excellent knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Able to work 5 days on-site in Brooklyn, New York
• Able to be on-call during nights and weekends, in case of emergencies

What You'll Be Doing:

• Collaborate with the production team, heavy machinery, work safety and security, and client walk-throughs
• Responsible for interviewing, hiring/firing, and resolving departmental conflicts within your team
• Manage Facilities staff schedule, maintaining labor availability, scheduling, and costs
• Main point of contact for landlord related contractors
• Responsible for the general upkeep of venue property and coordinating with necessary third party contractors for pest control, weed maintenance, generators, fuel deliveries, cleaning equipment rentals, electricians, fence maintenance, parking lot and sidewalk cleanliness, trash/dumpster pick-up, porta-potty vendors, and anything related to the infrastructure of the venue, warehouse, and offices
• Design and propose plan for the implementation of renewable energy system(s)
• Maintenance and upkeep of HVAC system
• Responsible for creating and maintaining all projects and the delegation of related tasks
• Work directly with operations managers to strategize and coordinate operational venue setup and logistics
• Upkeep fire systems (alarms, pumps, sprinklers) and extinguishers; schedule maintenance and log monthly testing
• Ensure venue is operating in accordance with OSHA/ANSI standards
• Ensure company safety and security policies and procedures are being followed
• Responsible for maintaining log of safety walk-throughs and ensuring team is completing them with accuracy
• Winter specific: manage heaters, generators, and any other equipment needed to keep the building warm and prevent pipes from bursting; manage snow removal
