Position Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team in Brandon, FL. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to handle inquiries related to electric service accounts, billing, service interruptions, and general customer support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person regarding electric service, billing, outages, and account management
  • Provide accurate information and resolve customer issues efficiently and professionally
  • Process service requests, payments, and account updates using internal systems
  • Document customer interactions and maintain records in accordance with company protocols
  • Collaborate with field service and technical teams to coordinate service requests or report issues
  • Educate customers on company policies, programs, and energy-saving tips
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor in all customer interactions

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
  • 1+ year of customer service experience (utility experience a plus)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with computers and customer service software (training provided)
