Ascendo Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Assistant for one of our international clients—a well-established company specializing in the distribution of technical components and equipment for the aviation industry. With a global footprint and decades of experience, the company supports a large network of commercial and private airline clients with high-quality products and exceptional service.

Position Overview

As a Finance Assistant, you will support the finance department in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions and reporting. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their finance career to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, international business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in daily accounts payable and receivable processing

• Prepare and reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts

• Support monthly and year-end closing activities

• Maintain organized financial documentation and assist with internal audits

• Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding payment and billing discrepancies

• Enter and maintain financial data within ERP and accounting systems

• Provide general administrative support to the finance department

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or working toward completion)

• 2+ years of relevant experience preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting/ERP systems

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Effective communication skills and a proactive mindset

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Experience in international or multi-currency environments is a plus
