Senior Electrical Engineer – Building Systems Design

Position Overview:

A leading multi-discipline engineering group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design complex electrical building systems for a wide variety of high-impact projects across sectors such as healthcare, higher education, science & technology, and more.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment alongside other expert disciplines, shaping sustainable and intelligent designs for major facilities across the country. The ideal candidate is passionate about innovation in building systems, experienced in Revit, and ready to grow into a leadership role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of large-scale and complex electrical systems for commercial and institutional buildings

  • Prepare detailed 2D and 3D construction documents using Revit

  • Develop calculations, specifications, and energy modeling documentation for LEED certification

  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and clients to deliver high-performing, coordinated designs

  • Plan project production processes and manage project documentation

  • Conduct site visits, review submittals, and assist contractors during construction

  • Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams across various project types


Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong proficiency in Revit and construction documentation standards

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems design and code compliance

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver large, complex building projects

  • Desire to grow into a leadership role in both design and project management

  • Excellent time management, follow-through, and quality control habits

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and client-facing settings


Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required

  • 8+ years of experience in electrical consulting for large-scale building systems
