Project Accountant Responsibilities:

• Report to the Head of Accounting and Reporting, the CFO, and the CEO or other project managers as needed.
• Create and review budgets, including staffing, work plans, and fee structures.
• Provide timely financial reports, budgets, and project forecasts to project managers and clients.
• Prepare pre-billing reports for project managers' review.
• Generate actual costs, working capital, and tax reports.
• Monitor receivable income and assist project managers with collections.
• Issue invoices and purchase orders, and process consultant, subcontractor, vendor, and supplier bills.
• Ensure steady cash flow by generating, auditing, and sending invoices promptly.
• Update contracts as per client requirements and report associated budget amendments.

Project Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting or a related field.
• 2 + years of experience as a project accountant or in a similar role.
• Proficient in development/project accounting systems.
• Ability to report to the Accounting Supervisor and other project managers.
• Advanced proficiency in managing general ledgers, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Exceptional ability to prepare project budgets, financial forecasts, and tax reports.
• Extensive experience in project invoicing and billing.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and client services.
