The company is seeking someone who can step in quickly and bring strong construction accounting expertise to the team.

Compensation: $80,000-$105,000
Location: Orlando, FL

What You'll Do

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger
  • Manage job cost accounting across multiple construction projects
  • Prepare and analyze WIP reports and project financials
  • Provide project-based financial analysis and identify trends, variances, and potential risks
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Maintain strong internal controls and accounting processes

  • Demonstrated experience in construction accounting
  • Strong job cost accounting experience
  • Hands-on experience with WIP reporting and project-based financial analysis
  • Experience managing AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger in a multi-project environment
  • Proficiency with construction-focused accounting software and ERP systems
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement preparation
  • Previous experience leading or mentoring accounting staff
  • Ability to work independently in a hands-on environment and take ownership of the accounting function
  • Why It's Worth Your Time
  • This is an opportunity to join a privately owned construction organization where the accounting team is small, but the projects are anything but small. You'll have meaningful visibility into the business, work closely with leadership, and play a key role in managing the financial side of significant construction projects.

The company offers the stability of an established organization while maintaining a lean, entrepreneurial environment where your experience can make a noticeable impact.
